Saturday evening's high tide brought another milestone for Blount Boats, when dignitaries christened the yard's latest vessel, Atlantic Endeavor.

The work boat, built for Atlantic Wind Transfers out of Quonset Point, will transport crew back and forth and will provide other support for a wind farm off Virginia Beach, Va.

Topping out at 65 feet in length, the catamaran is 28 feet wide and can transport 27 people at a time, including two or three crew members. She can reach speeds of 29 knots.

Doing the christening honors was Amy Donadio, who is married to Charles Donadio, president of Atlantic Wind Transers.
