Monday, Feb. 22
A caller from Seymour Street complained about seeing an unfamiliar gray sedan in the neighborhood. Police spoke to the driver, confirming that his father rents on Seymour.

A man told police he parked his car on Miller Street the previous evening, then took an Uber home. He went the next day to get the car but couldn't find it. He said he'd retrace his steps. The car was later located in the Hometown Tavern parking lot on Metacom Avenue.

Providence police arrested Eliezer Martinez, 32, of Smithfield, on a Warren warrant for simple assault and/or battery.

Fire crews went to a Warren Avenue home at 12:18 p.m. for a smell of gas call. It turned out to be coming from the stove. Crews ventilated the residence and went on their way.

A Child Street resident said she'd been harassed by another tenant in the same building, apparently over the laundry facilities.

Police assisted a woman whose car got a flat tire on Main Street, driving her back to her home on Beach Street.

Tuesday, Feb. 23
Police received a call on the 411TIP line for a disturbance on Main Street involving yelling and crashing. It turned out to be maintenance workers repairing a window.

The animal control officer went out to Barden Lane for a report of cows on walkabout along the road.

A caller from Bradford Street said a man on a bike was taking photos of homes in the area.

A Croade Street woman complained that a neighbor was putting recycling bins in her walkway.

Wednesday, Feb. 24
A woman called to report that a man had kicked her out of a Metacom Avenue home after an argument. She said she'd be taking a RIPTA bus to Providence.

A caller told police that a car was driving too slow on Market Street. Police caught up with the driver, who said he was going slowly due to his eyes' light sensitivity.

A Homestead Avenue woman told police that her son was being harassed in an online chat.

Stephanie L. Taveras, 29, of 53 Wheaton St., was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, first offense, and a single count of driving with an expired license, after police pulled her over just before 9 p.m. on Metacom Avenue.

Thursday, Feb. 25
Fire crews removed a malfunctioning oven from a home on Highview Avenue, after getting a call about a possible oven fire.

A Serpentine Road resident complained about seeing someone outside with a flashlight. The person turned out to be working in the dark to try to get a piece of machinery running.

Friday, Feb. 26
A resident reported the violation of a no contact order. Police determined that no violation had taken place.

Saturday, Feb. 27
Devin P. Vieira, 22, of 230 Market St., Apt. 2, was arrested on a warrant after being pulled over on Market Street just before 1 a.m.

David L. Perry, 28, of 442 Main St., Apt. 1, was charged with domestic violence-simple assault and/or battery, domestic violence-disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest, after police got a call from a Main Street man who reported at 2:35 a.m. that his neighbors were arguing.

A caller reported seeing a man on Metacom Avenue who was yelling obscenities and threatening to kill people.

A caller from Main told police an intoxicated man was stumbling around outside. Police said all was OK, he was waiting for a bus.

A caller told police there was a man rolling around and yelling in a Main Street parking lot. He was taken to the hospital for detox.

A Child Street caller reported hearing yelling, but police could not determine the source.

Sunday, Feb. 28
Robert J. Ellin Jr., 33, of 115 Market St., was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police received multiple calls about a truck attempting to leave the scene of an accident at Market Street and Ellis Avenue just before 5:30 a.m.

A Market Street caller told police a skunk was stuck in a shed.

A Child Street woman complained that her landlord shut off her water and was harassing her.
