Tuesday, March 24

A DPW worker reported finding graffiti at the Homestead Avenue playground.

A Child Street caller reported receiving a fraudulent check.

A Main Street woman reported being the victim of an online scam.

A man told police that his ex refused to hand over their children.

Bristol police called their counterparts in Warren after being alerted by a third party that a Sachem Street woman who was supposed to be under self-quarantine was seen outside.

Wednesday, March 25

A Detroit Avenue woman complained that her neighbors were outside yelling at each other.

A Main Street resident reported the theft of a laptop computer.

A caller from Metacom Avenue asked for advice, as his 19-year-old son keeps letting people in the house against his wishes.

Thursday, March 26

Jonathan Ford, 34, of 39 Child St., was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after a woman called to report that her ex-boyfriend refused to leave after breaking a bathroom mirror.

A passer-by complained that a Child Street business was operating against an executive order. Police checked it out and discovered that the business was not open; workers were just cleaning.

A Libby Lane resident complained about noisy upstairs neighbors.

Friday, March 27

Police were called to Market Street at about 3 p.m. for a report of kids fighting and pushing each other around.

A Child Street woman asked for police help with her daughter, who has behavioral issues and was acting violently and throwing rocks at her.

A Main Street resident reported the theft of an electric scooter.

A Hugh Cole Road resident reported hearing gunshots.

Rescue crews took a man to the hospital after an Oak Street woman called to report that her son was unconscious and may have overdosed. Responding rescue crews administered Narcan, an anti-opioid.

Saturday, March 28

Police dispersed a man after a caller from Market Street reported a possibly intoxicated man standing in front of his neighbor’s house.

Livestock got loose on Libby Lane.

Police dispersed a group of six juveniles on Water Street.

A Patience Lane woman told police that someone stole her purse out of her car during the night.

A caller asked an officer to escort him to a Birchswamp address while he retrieved a bull. He told officers his wife, whom he has a no contact order with, was being uncooperative with a court order regarding the removal of said bull. Police reported just under an hour later that the bull had been removed.

A Long Lane resident complained about a neighbor’s loud music.

A Vernon Street man told police that his car had been keyed.

Sunday, March 29

A caller reported seeing a suspicious man looking into business windows along  Main and Child streets. Police caught up with him near the Galactic Theatre; he told them he was “admiring” businesses in the area. Police noted that he was going to be taking a bus out of town.

A Harris Avenue woman reported that she’d been assaulted by a man who also damaged her car windshield.

A caller said he was flagged down by a juvenile who reported being robbed by two other kids. Police looked for the two suspects involved but came up empty.

Brian L. Ferreira, 37, of Riverside, was picked up on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery, domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct.
