Someone abandoned a cat after moving out of a Metacom Avenue apartment.
A Third Street woman told police that someone stole money from her home.
A Brittney Lane woman complained that her son was receiving harassing calls and texts.
Tuesday, March 1
Police dispersed a woman who was yelling at pedestrians at Main and Washington streets.
A dog bite was reported on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Another abandoned cat complaint came in, this time from Child Street.
Daniel Lee Powers, 28, of Charlton, Ma., was arrested on a warrant for obstructing a police officer.
A woman on Union Street told police that she and her girlfriend were just assaulted by a man. An ambulance was called, as one of the women suffered a facial injury. However, she refused treatment.
A Main Street business owner requested that police remove a man from the property.
Wednesday, March 2
A Davis Street man asked that police remove an unwanted woman from the home.
Police were called to Child Street for a domestic assault and charged Lemuel Taylor, 45, of 417 Child St., second floor, with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
A Sisson Street woman reported an ongoing neighborhood dispute and claimed that her vehicle may have been vandalized.
Adam T. Flint, 23, of 17 Company St., second floor, was arrested on a warrant for simple assault or battery, domestic simple assault/battery, domestic disorderly conduct and violation of a no contact order.
Someone complained that a man and woman were arguing in a Metacom Avenue parking lot.
Thursday, March 3
A Milwaukee Avenue resident reported a possible phone scam.
Police were called about a landlord/tenant issue on Homestead Avenue.
Friday, March 4
A caller reported a grey pickup with a “steak body” driving erratically on Metacom Avenue. Sounds pretty rare, or at least medium rare.
The animal control officer was able to successfully remove a squirrel from inside a Homestead Avenue home, after getting a call at about 12:18 p.m.
A Davis woman reported that someone stole meat from her freezer. She later told officers that she was mistaken; she’d traded the meat for cigarettes.
A Union Street resident reported receiving harassing text messages.
Bicycles were reported vandalized on Sisson Street.
Saturday, March 5
A Sisson Street woman reported that a neighbor was slamming doors and threatened her.
Sunday, March 6
A woman on Davis Street flagged down an officer to report having a problem with her stove. The officer reported that there was no problem; it was just a new stove and she was unsure how to use it.
Monday, March 7
A raccoon found its way into a car on Wood Street.
Someone complained about a man dumping a mattress behind a Metacom Avenue store.
A disorderly student was reported at the East Bay Career Academy school on Market Street. Police stayed on scene until the student was turned over to a parent.
