Warren police logs: Man, two juveniles charged in 'vape' break

Monday, July 24

Robert G. Fraser, 20, of Bristol, was arrested on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant following a traffic stop on Child Street.

The fire chief responded to a fire call on Metacom Avenue. A resident had left food on the stove.

A caller from Child Street reported a suspicious car with a flashing light. It turned out to be a stranded motorist waiting on AAA to arrive.

Police issued a no trespass order against a Warren man for allegedly unplugging a soda machine at a Child Street auto body garage and using its outlet to charge his electric scooter, which he uses for mobility. Police said they filed the order after reviewing surveillance video of the alleged electric pilfering.

Tuesday, July 25

Two juveniles, ages 13 and 17, were charged with breaking into a Child Street “vape” store after police were called to the store at 3:19 a.m. The two were each charged with breaking and entering with felonious intent; a third person, Ezel C. Jones, 18, of 118 Water St., Apt. 2R, was charged with the same crime later that day.

A Metacom Avenue woman reported the theft of her cell phone.

Several callers reported spotting a coyote near Laurel Lane.

A Parker Avenue woman complained that a large rooster was in her yard.

A Water Street caller complained about a barking dog.

Wednesday, July 26

A juvenile, 15, was charged with being disobedient.

A woman driving on Franklin Street ended up with a flat tire after hitting a particularly deep pothole on Franklin Street. Authorities contacted the state DOT, but were informed that the road is not a state highway and not under their jurisdiction. DPW workers were contacted and said they would address the pothole the following day.

An injured coyote was spotted on Almeida Drive.

A Highview Avenue woman complained about fireworks.

Thursday, July 27

Police noted that though the Warren Town Beach was closed due to elevated levels of bacteria, there were kids swimming.

A caller from Main Street complained that a neighbor’s dogs were outside.

A Federal Street man complained about his daughter, 16, who was disobedient.

Friday, July 28

A Seymour Street caller complained about a rooster strutting its stuff near power lines in the area.

A Kickemuit Road resident called police to report that his home had been ransacked.

A Market Street resident reported the theft of medication.

A Kickemuit Road resident reported telephone fraud.

A Union Street resident complained about loud music.

Saturday, July 29

A Highview Avenue resident called about a “small hole” in the yard.

A caller complained about three juveniles loitering on Main Street. Police found no issue.

A caller reported a wooden pallet in the middle of Metacom Avenue. He stopped, moved it to the side of the road and called police.

Amanda R. Collins, 40, of Riverside, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license.

 A Greene Street man complained about a neighbor’s loud music. Police advised him to quiet it down.

A Market Street woman received a harassing phone call, she told police.

Sunday, July 30

An anonymous reported several drunken women talking too loudly in the street outside. They were actually employees from a Water Street restaurant heading out after close.

A caller from Croade Street complained that a neighbor was yelling.

A loud music call came in from Long Lane.

Monday, July 31

Benjamin J. Caron, 20, of North Dighton, Ma., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Main Street at 1:33 a.m.

A Davis Street woman complained that her home might have been broken into.
