A Harris Avenue man called police after finding gun shell casings while cleaning out his closet.

Police checked on the well-being of a man spotted laying in the grass on Franklin Street. A caller suspected he might have been drunk, but police determined he was just having a rest.

A caller complained that kids at the beach were using vulgar language and were disturbing the peace.

A Market Street woman who had a no contact order against a man reported he was harassing her on Social Media.

Police brought a man home after a passerby reported him as being intoxicated near the intersection of Child and Cole streets.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

A bicycle was reported stolen from a Main Street address.

Fire crews extinguished a pile of smoldering wood chips on Market Street.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

Angela L. Rossner, 19, of Warwick, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled her over at 12:03 a.m. at Metacom Avenue and Rosa Boulevard.

A Frank Court woman complained that her ex-boyfriend had been calling her in violation of a no contact order.

A “rooster complaint” came in from Metacom Avenue at 8:17 a.m. The animal control officer noted that arrangements to have the rooster removed were being made.

Uriah K. Zoegar, 21, of Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Market Street just before 4 p.m.

A caller reported a rooster strutting in the middle of Schoolhouse Road. By the time officers arrived it had gone deep into the woods.

Police gained access for a Warren Avenue woman after she reported being locked out of her home.

An officer called for a rescue for a man who was reported intoxicated and urinating in public at the intersection of Water and Church streets just before 8 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 5

Madeleine A. Merrill, 30, of Bristol, was charged with possession of more than one ounce of marijuana after police pulled her over at Main and Baker streets at 1:28 a.m. Police said an officer noticed the smell of marijuana during the stop; a subsequent search turned up 1.23 ounces of suspected marijuana, three bags of THC-laced cookies, and a THC vaporizer pen.

A Seymour Street resident called police after a company dropped a dumpster in the driveway without permission.

A caller reported a large group of kids fighting on Child Street at about 2:30 p.m. An officer determined they were just playing.

A Union Street man reported his headphones stolen while he was at the gym.

Friday, Sept. 6

Police disposed of two hypodermic needles found by a caller on Market Street.

Saturday, Sept. 7

Police called for a rescue for an intoxicated woman on Patience Lane.

An Overhill Road resident complained that a bucket of paint had been spilled in front of his house. The man ended up talking to a neighbor, who apparently spilled it. He agreed to clean it up that day or the next.

Police were contacted by the owner of a Metacom Avenue business who stated he’d caught several men attempting to break into his business on tape.

Sunday, Sept. 8

Clarissa M. Lincoln, 23, of Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled her over at Rosa Boulevard and Arlington Avenue at 3:35 a.m.

A caller reported a person texting while driving on Wilbur Avenue.

A caller reported an injured fox on Beth Avenue.
