Warren police logs: Busy week as 11 face charges

Monday, Oct. 14

A Wood Street man told police that someone opened windows on his home.

Joseph L. Fortin, 58, of 34 Birchswamp Road, was picked up on a warrant for domestic strangulation, domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

Joseph A. Squatrito, 33, of Bristol, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Main Street just before 9 p.m.

Antoin Pitters House, 28, of Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Main Street at 10:44 p.m.

Donald A. Rainville, 34, of 271 Market St., was pulled over and charged with failure to stop at an accident, after police received a  call at 11:25 p.m. that a man in a pickup had just hit him but did not stop.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

Peter G. Cavalieiri, 37, of Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Main Street at 3 a.m.

A Main Street man reported his truck, parked in a nearby parking lot, stolen.

The manager of a Main Street apartment house said there was a man hitting golf balls in the parking lot, and some of them might have damaged cars parked in the lot. Police noted no complaints of damaged carts.

A Child Street woman complained taht two kids took a pumpkin from her yard and when she confronted them, “they claimed that they can do whatever they want.”

An Uber driver on Main Street told police that the occupants of a passing car threw eggs at his car.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

A Water Street man reported one of his car tires vandalized.

A juvenile, 17, was charged with larceny over $1,500, and driving without a license.

Nicholas Joseph Caine, 27, of 61 Beach St., Apt. 105, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant.

Thursday, Oct. 17

Derek E. Fernandez, 36, of 35 Kinnicutt Ave., was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to his home by a woman who reported a fight with her boyfriend.

A Child Street resident reported being harassed by a neighbor.

Friday, Oct. 18

A Touisset Road woman told police her son took her car and was refusing to return it.

A Sowamsett Avenue woman called police after her boyfriend, who was intoxicated, staring throwing things around the home.

A woman from Laurel Park complained about a loud party across the water in Touisset.

Saturday, Oct. 19

A Child Street woman asked that police remove her drunken boyfriend from her property.

A caller reported that three juveniles appeared to be smoking marijuana on Main Street. A police search turned up no illegal activity.

A Paul Court resident reported hearing gunshots, possibly from deer hunters nearby.

Scott M. Laroche, 52, of 118 Water St., Apt. 2R, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over on Water Street at 8:51 p.m.

Police were called out to Martin Street for an argument over a parking space.

A Davis Street resident complained about a neighbor’s loud music.

Sunday, Oct. 20

Donald R. Allen, 40, of 38 Fatima Drive, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after a woman called to report that her daughter was having an issue with her intoxicated boyfriend.

Marc S. July, 34, of 25 Homestead Ave., was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license se, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Market Street at 5:37 a.m.

A Child Street woman complained that her son was being bullied by neighborhood kids.

A caller complained about a Mustang doing donuts on Market Street.

A Railroad Avenue man reported the theft of his car. It was discovered a few minutes later parked in front of Warren Town Hall.
