Warren police: Four-year-old playing with phone dialed 911 multiple times

Monday, Nov. 9
The animal control officer got a call about an injured or sick raccoon way up in a tree on Metacom Avenue. It was too high up to reach.

A caller told police that a juvenile stole a bike from another, on Market Street.

A Miller Street woman came in to the station to report getting into an argument with her husband.

Tuesday, Nov. 10
Shannon Smith, 38, of Fall River, was charged with driving with a suspended, revoked or canceled license, first offense, after police pulled her over on her moped at 1:53 a.m. on Kickemuit Road.

An Aubin Avenue woman complained that her neighbor was burning leaves. Police looked for the fire but could not find it.

A Detroit Avenue woman reported spotting a sick raccoon in her yard.

A Baker Street man called to report being followed.
Wednesday, Nov. 11

A Sisson Street woman called to complain about a neighbor's fire pit. Another call cam e in a short time later from Aubin Avenue.

A Market Street resident reported being the victim of a scam.

A Cottage Street woman called police, she said, after her sister cut off her utilities.

The 911 operator reported multiple hang-ups from a Mayo Drive home. It turned out to be a four-year-old girl playing with mom's cell phone.

A Main Street woman reported that a man against whom she had a restraining order contacted her via social media.

Thursday, Nov. 12
A Child Street merchant denied a complaint police received, that he was celling e-cigarettes to juveniles.

A DPW worker spotted apparent vandalism to a tomb on Massasoit Avenue. Police confirmed that there was no damage to the tomb, and noted that a groundskeeper had re-secured its door.

Matthew D. Waddell, 33, of 74 Main St., was arrested on a warrant and charged with failure of duty to give information and render aid, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and driving after the denial, revocation or suspension of his license, first offense.

A woman brought in a debit card she'd found.

Aggressive and erratic driving calls came in from Main Street, Child Street, Metacom Avenue and Arlington Avenue.

A Franklin Street caller complained that landscapers had been blowing leaves for too long. The call came in at 7:44 p.m.

A Water Street man complained about the volume of his upstairs neighbor's music.

Police looked for but could not locate several youths with flashlights reported in the woods on Massasoit Avenue.

Friday, Nov. 13
A woman brought in a wallet she'd found.

A Market Street caller complained that a neighbor's dog had been left out for an extended period of time.

A Child Street woman complained that someone struck her parked car some time overnight.

A Water Street woman complained at 11:23 a.m. that her upstairs neighbor had been playing loud music for nearly four and a half hours. Police spoke to the man and told him to turn it down.

A caller complained about a suspicious man yelling at traffic on Metacom at 2:16 p.m.

A caller told police that two youths were attempting to climb a building at Child Street and Serpentine Road.

Edward P. Rose III, 30, of 397 Market St., was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, BAC unknown, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and driving with a suspended, revoked or canceled license, after he reportedly struck a pole on Main Street at 10:37 p.m.

A caller told police that a car was diving at a high rate of speed on Market Street.

Saturday, Nov. 14
Tony V. Goncalves, 43, of 228 Child St., Apt. 1A, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, after police pulled him over on Market Street at 2:30 a.m.

Maria Mateo-Ixcuna, 30, of New Bedford, was charged with driving without or on an expired license, first offense, after police pulled her over on Child Street just before 8 a.m.

A clerk at a Metacom Avenue establishment reported someone trying to pass a fake ID.

A Crescent Street resident complained about a loud party just after 11 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 15
A Metacom Avenue caller complained at 12:22 a.m. about a neighbor's loud music.

A Main Street caller complained that a building had been spray-painted with graffiti.

Chance N. Hall, 30, of Pawtucket, was charged with driving with a suspended, revoked or canceled license, second offense, after police pulled him over on Main Street at 10:40 a.m.

A juvenile caller on Main Street called to report that she and her four siblings had been abused by their parents.
An aggressive motorcyclist was reported on Metacom Avenue just after 5:30 p.m.

Joan Brown, 58, of Riverside, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, BAC unknown, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled her over on Kickemuit Road at 9:17 p.m.
