Warren resident Kurt Jamiel has been elected chairman of Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI)'s Board of Trustees. A long-time animal lover (here, he's shown with his dog Lucy), Mr. Jamiel has served on the board since 2014. He is married to wife Mary; the two adopted Lucy from ARRI more than five years ago. She (Lucy, not Mary) now accompanies him to most board meetings. ARRI organization rescues pets slated for euthanasia, then finds new adoptive homes for them.
