Town celebrating All-Star baseball team's historic run

Event will be held Saturday night at Latham Park

The Town of Barrington will hold a special celebration for the Barrington Little League U12 All-Star baseball team on Saturday night, Sept. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Latham Park.

The local team, which was coached Chris Promades, Frank Fede and E.J. Anderson, won the District II championship, the state championship, the regional championship, and earned an invitation to compete in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. 

Saturday night's event will include music, a special proclamation by members of the Barrington Town Council, speeches by the coaches, and the introduction of the players. Food trucks will be on site starting at 6 p.m.

There will also be a fireworks display starting at 7:30 p.m. 

The event is sponsored by the town and by the Barrington Business Association.
