A school principal called to notify police that the school has had no virtual contact with a student since March 13. Police checked and found that the family needs equipment and internet access to participate in remote schooling. They were advised to contact the school.

At 4:44 p.m., police were called to Church Street for a report of a loose labrador. “Unable to catch dog,” officer reported.

Thursday, April 2

A car struck and killed a deer on Bulgarmarsh Road at 1:10 a.m.

A 911 caller at 9:29 p.m. to report a vehicle going at least 100 mph southbound on Route 24 toward Portsmouth. The vehicle was not located.

A Beech Avenue resident complained that a resident is pumping water onto the street.

Friday, April 3

A Bulgarmarsh Road resident told police that a possibly intoxicated woman had tried pushing her way into the caller’s home. Police checked but could not locate the woman.

Saturday, April 4

At 3:03 p.m., a caller reported that over ten people were on the track at Tiverton High School. An officer checked and said the people were “not congregating — parties practicing social distancing.”

A 5:59 report of a possible assault by a woman at a Bulgarmarsh Road location proved to be unfounded.

Police were called to Leonard Avenue where a resident said that neighbors are watching as he and friends have a fire at 7:32 p.m. “Ongoing issue with neighbors,” police reported.

At 7:58 p.m., a Montgomery Street resident reported ongoing issue with neighbor coming onto property and screaming at the homeowner. A no-trespassing order was issued.

Sunday, April 5

At 1:14 a.m., a caller told police that cars and motorcycles are racing on Route 24,

At 8:12 a.m., a resident reported the illegal use of her credit card.

Alec Cote, 24, of 45 Haskins Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of domestic simple assault at 12:59 p.m. at that address.

At 3:41 p.m.,  A Hayden Avenue resident filed a noise complaint about a nearby development — operating a nail gun from 8 a.m. until now.

A liquor store operator called at 3:54 p.m. to report that an underage buyer “got verbal” when asked to produce identification.

A caller reported that she was harassed by a passing motorist at 5:40 p.m.

Police responded to a call about a suspicious man on Farnum Street — wearing cowboy hat, walking dog and flagging vehicles down. “Party not doing anything wrong, just waving at people,” the officer reported.

Monday, April 6

A Hooper Street resident notified police at 7:25 a.m. that a neighbor spit on him and is outside swearing. Police served the neighbor with a no trespass order.

At 7:49 a.m., Tiverton Equipment on Fish Road reported the theft of equipment over the weekend.

At 8:05 a.m., a Blueberry Lane resident reported that a dog bit him on the forearm and right hip.

Fall River Police notified Tiverton  at 10:15 a.m. that they had followed a stolen black Toyota into Tiverton. Tiverton Police searched down Bulgarmarsh Road toward Westport but did not locate the vehicle.
