The sixth seed Tiverton boys lacrosse team came up short against the second seed Pilgrim Patriots Thursday evening in the Division III semifinals played in Warwick.
The 13-1 Patriots defeated theTigers by a score of 13 to 6. Tiverton finishes its season with a division record of 9-5 and a season record of 11-6.
Senior Greg Johanning assisted on three Tiverton goals, while Tom McKinnon and Adam Amaral each scored twice. Mark Gousie and Shaun Souza (one assist) each had one goal for Tiverton.
Goalie Dan Murphy made seven saves for the Tigers.
This was the final game for seniors Camron Dagesse (#51), Greg Johanning (#40), Thomas McKinnon (#41), Joshua Paquette (#29), Andrew Perez (#96), Erick Sousa #97), and Shaun Souza (#53). Greg Johanning will be joining the Lourdes University in the fall.
