Arnold Robinson joins the BH&PS to discuss the impact climate change will have on our historic resources in Bristol. Widely recognized as an expert on preservation-related climate change, Robinson will talk about the specific forecasts for climate change impacts upon Bristol over the next 20 to 70 years, and he will share how coastal communities like Bristol are taking proactive steps to protect and adapt historic places.
An interactive discussion of actions that Bristol and its citizens can take will follow the talk.
Robinson has been practicing in the fields of historic preservation and community planning for over 30 years. He is currently Regional Director of Planning for Fuss & O'Neill, a full service engineering and design company where his focus is on community planning and adaptation to climate change impacts. A graduate of RWU, he holds his MA in Preservation Studies from Boston University.
This lecture is the first in the Lombard John Pozzi Lecture Series, honoring Pozzi's work as a preservationist and restoration architect and who worked tirelessly to preserve Bristol's historic resources.
