Take your pick of Portsmouth High School holiday concerts

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School Music Program has scheduled several events and concerts this month.

On Thursday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m., the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band and String Ensemble will present a concert in the auditorium at the high school on Education Lane.

The Symphonic Band, Vocal Ensemble, Concert Chorus and Flute Ensemble will perform at the same time and place on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

On Thursday, Dec. 17 at 8:45 a.m., the Jazz Ensemble and the Chorus will perform an in-school concert.

If you’re out shopping on Friday, Dec. 18, the Flute Ensemble, Vocal Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble will perform at Swansea Mall, near the Sears end of the mall, starting at 6 p.m.

Ted Rausch and Donna Valente are band directors and Shawna Gleason is choral director.
