Susan M. Melvin, 71, Tiverton

Susan M. Melvin, 71, of Tiverton, died Tuesday June 04, 2019, with her family by her side in Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Susan was born June 07, 1947, in Rhode Island to Joseph and Hilda Peters. Susan was happily married for 39 years to Ronald Melvin.

Susan worked as an office manager, bookkeeper, machinist supervisor and treasurer of Dadson Estates. She was a dedicated volunteer who loved working with the Meals on Wheels program and truly enjoyed volunteering and spending time at the Tiverton Senior Center. Susan had a passion for painting and had many pieces of art put on display at the Tiverton Town Hall.

Susan was a loving and wonderful mother who is survived by her two children, Nathan Melvin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Aaron Melvin of Westerly R.I.; sister Priscilla Drummond of Bristol, and her many nieces, grand nieces, grand nephews and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 22, at Saint Theresa’s Church in Tiverton at 11 a.m.
