Free Live Music at The Collaborative with Sinners Pie! Doors at 7:00 and show at 7:30 sharp. Attendees may BYOB and there will be a pass the hat for the performers.

Sinners Pie is a Massachusetts/ Rhode Island based band that plays original music in the Bluegrass/ Americana style. Sinners Pie is Nelson Hiller ( guitar, mandolin, vocals) , Ellen Breen ( guitar, vocals) and Ben Marshall ( upright bass). Ellen and Nelson share songwriting duties with themes of love and loss, trains and murder. Featuring strong, soulful, vocal harmonies and skillful instrumentals, Sinners Pie also enjoy putting their own spin on favorite cover songs. The band has performed at various venues in including The Narrows Center for the Arts, Fall River, Ma, The Orpheum Theater, Foxborough, Ma as well as bluegrass and folk festivals in the New England area

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
