Silvino Ferreira Leocadio, 83, of Warren, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018 at Orchard View Manor in East Providence. He was the husband of Fernanda (Leocadio) Leocadio.

Silvino was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Jose and Elvira (Ferreira) Leocadio.

Mr. Leocadio was a boat builder for over 40 years for the former Albin Marine.

While living in Portugal, he was a member of the Portuguese Army.

Mr. Leocadio had lived in Warren since 1967, coming from Portugal. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

Silvino was an avid gardener, fisherman and he loved to sing.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Paul Leocadio and his wife Bernadette of Warren; his daughter, Fatima DeCouto and her husband George of Warren; a brother, Eduardo Leocadio of Bristol; and his sisters, Louisa Mendes of Warren and Isaura Gomes of Fall River. Mr. Leocadio is also survived by a step-granddaughter, Lori, and two step-great-grandchildren, Anthony and Aidan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Leocadio was the brother of the late William Leocadio, Jose Leocadio and Antero Leocadio.

His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 21, from 4 to 7 pm.
