The Barrington High School Stagemasters will be performing "Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles" this weekend.

Shows are planned for Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. with matinees on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7 at 1 p.m.

The detective story follows the famous Sherlock Holmes, played by senior Aiden Pilipski, and his intrepid partner Watson, played by Will Walker, as they travel to the moors of England to unlock the mystery of a spectral hound that haunts the Baskerville family and their ancestral estate. The property was recently passed to Sir Henry Baskerville, played by Henry Humphreys.

Holmes gives Watson the task of protecting Sir Henry while trying to uncover the secrets that abound within the walls of Baskerville Hall. As Watson searches for answers, there is no lack of suspects from the the good country doctor to the naturalist, Jack Stapleton (senior Matt Huang) and his intriguing sister, Beryl (Ashley Pippitt-Saturday and Maya Gomez-DelCampo-Friday/Sunday).  “Come discover whether the Baskerville family is cursed or if the mysterious deaths on the moors of Devonshire have a more earthly explanation,” stated a press release from the Stagemasters.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults, and will be sold at the door. All performances will be held in the John Gray Auditorium at Barrington High School.
