Uncover the mysteries of our local seaweeds and learn how important they are to marine life and our communities during a special program at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11. Meet Rebecca Venezia, PhD graduate student from the University of Rhode Island, who is studying the long-term changes in habitat-forming seaweeds in Narragansett Bay from the 1960s to 2010s. Learn what seaweeds are present in the Bay, why they are so important, and the roles they play in the local community. All ages are welcome.
The program is free with admission. Learn more at: https://asri.org/learn/naturecenteraquarium.html
