Sally Emelia (Hardie) Andrade, 86, of Barrington, R.I. passed away peacefully on May 23, 2020. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Manuel Anthony Andrade. Sally met her sweetheart, Manny, while working as a telephone operator in Bristol. They married in 1953 and settled in Barrington, where they raised their four daughters.
She built a career with Raytheon and was honored with Silver Status by the International Assoc. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. More important to her was what she achieved in her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. When spending time with Sally, you were rewarded with her gifts of love, joy and laughter.
She loved music and sang beautifully, gracing her family with everything from lullabies to holiday favorites. Quiet and steadfast in her nurturing spirit, she lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Felix, Linda Waugh, Sally DesRosiers and Jane Froias, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Irene Rezendes and Carol Wagner.
In lieu of of flowers, donations are welcome to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alzheimer’s.org, act.alz.org/donate, in Sally’s memory.
