BRISTOL — For the third time to date this season and for the second in a row, Roger Williams University’s Karli Opalka has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week.

The sophomore center helped Roger Williams to a 2-1 week in three conference contests. She averaged 18.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game during the stretch and shot 53.5 percent (23-for-43) from the field.

She opened the week against CCC-leader University of New England. Despite being held to just six points, she was able to contribute nine rebounds and four steals. She then posted back-to-back 20-point games against Nichols and Gordon. She scored 23 against the Bison and added six boards.
