Rose Pirri, 93, of Bristol

Rose Pirri, 93, passed away at Newport Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021. She was the wife of the late Pasquale A. Pirri for 55 years before his passing in 2008.

Born in Cranston, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Maria (Menna) and the late Tulio Natalizia.

Rose worked as a seamstress for Bristol Sportswear for many years before retiring in 1988. Rose was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Bristol. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She loved to cook Italian food for family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Rose leaves behind her children: Debra A. Pirri and Joseph A. Pirri (Geri); her grandchildren: Michael Reis, Kenneth Johnson, Robert Johnson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was predeceased by her siblings: Hugo Natalizia, Albert Natalizia, Ralph Natalizia, Emanuel Natalizia, Adelia Corona, Victoria Ruggieri, and Loretta Lambrese.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. inside Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. The mass will be streamed on the “Henry Zinno” Facebook page for those who cannot attend in person. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
