Rosaline A. Putt (nee Almeida), age 93, of Cheektowaga, N.Y. entered into eternal rest on Feb. 9, 2021. Rosaline was born in Bristol on Nov. 30, 1927, to the late Antone and Mary Almeida. She moved to Buffalo in 1959. She loved being a waitress until she retired at the age of 76.

Rosaline loved the Lord, and her strong faith sustained her through many trials throughout her life. She also loved connecting with family and friends through Facebook, and at age 93 still chatted with them until shortly before her death. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, and gardening.

Rosaline is survived by her sons, Ronald (Debra) Medeiros of Bristol and John (Colleen) Medeiros of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and daughters, Gail (Jim) Richey of Upper Marlborough, Md., and Sandy Putt-Sandvik of Palmer, Alaska, and daughter-in-law, Dianne Putt of Marilla, N.Y. She was predeceased by her precious son, Paul Putt, in 2015.

She was the loving VoVo/ Nana of 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Rosaline is also survived by her siblings, Arthur Almeida and Evelyn Nappi of Bristol, Catherine Bradley of New Jersey, and Irene Garner of Illinois. She was predeceased by her other 17 siblings.

She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Roz (Rosie) traveled to her beloved hometown of Bristol almost every year to celebrate the Fourth of July with her family. In keeping with that tradition, a Celebration of her life will be held during that time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Buffalo.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
