The Coronavirus pandemic prevented St. Elizabeth Church from holding their Santo Cristo feast in June. Not to disrupt the tradition, they have organized a shorter and different program, but one that still includes some traditional favorites.
Through Friday, Sept. 25:
There will be a Novena everyday starting at 6 p.m. People are able to come, respecting social distancing and wearing face masks or can follow from home through the live streaming on the Church's Facebook page.
Sunday, Sept. 27:
There will be a mass at 1 p.m. in honor of Santo Cristo. After mass, the image of Santo Cristo will come out of the church entrance with a brief blessing of the Blessed Sacrament. There will not be a
procession.
During this weekend there will be food for sale for takeout only.
Saturday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 9 p.m.:
Sandwiches & malassadas will be sold.
7 p.m.: Live auction of animals, both for Santo Cristo and the United Brotherhood of the Holy Spirit & Holy Trinity Committee
Sunday, Sept. 27:
Malassadas will be sold 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sandwiches will be sold noon to 5 p.m.
