I have had the privilege to meet and talk with hundreds of Bristol residents since I began knocking doors in town, and similar themes have become apparent. Our residents want committee members that listen and advocate for their children.
Families need a school calendar that aligns with the rest of the state. Parents expect their children to remain safe in schools from gun violence, bullying and sexual harassment while providing our students with the services and support needed to be successful.
I along with my fellow community desires a school committee that is transparent and engages in open communication by sharing not only its vision and achievements but also the obstacles faced (financial and otherwise) while pursuing our goals. Highlighting the facets that give our district its strength and uniqueness enables broader support. Voters want change. I will push for what our community deserves; schools that not only meet but exceed our needs.
