Each week the Personal Injury Law Offices of d’Oliviera & Associates compile a summary of recalls, FDA warnings, market withdrawals and safety alerts that they feel the public should be aware of for their safety and so that they can make informed decisions.

Here are 31 recalls to be aware of this week:

Pharmaceuticals/Drugs

• Amneal Pharmaceuticals, LLC. Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Ranitidine Tablets, USP, 150mg and 300mg, and Ranitidine Syrup (Ranitidine Oral Solution, USP), 15 mg/mL, Due to Possible Presence of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) Impurity.
• Aurobindo Pharma USA is recalling one lot of Ranitidine tablets, 37 lots of Ranitidine capsules and Ranitidine syrup. The products, used to treat heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach brought on by eating or drinking certain foods and beverages, are contaminated with N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), a probable human carcinogen, above levels established by the FDA.

Auto

• Nissan recalls nearly 400,000 vehicles over braking system defect. Japan’s Nissan Motor Co Ltd (7201.T) has said it is recalling 394,025 cars in the United States over a braking system defect, causing concerns that a brake fluid leak could potentially lead to a fire.
• Dodge recalls 173 Chargers and Challengers for front wheels that don’t fit correctly. Inaccurate clearances could cause the tire to contact the suspension.
• Ford issues recall, safety alert on best-selling 2019-20 F-150, Super Duty and MKX. Ford Motor Co. has issued a recall based on an “improperly secured” part that may hinder braking, steering assist, instrument panel displays or cause the engine to stall or catch fire.

Motorcycle/Scooters

• Indian recalls Chief, Chieftain, Roadmaster and Springfield motorcycles. The gear position display may show the motorcycle is in neutral when it is actually in gear.
• H&H Sports Protection is recalling 4,218 VCAN V531 motorcycle helmets in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL, sold exclusively through Amazon. The helmet retention system may fail, allowing the helmet to separate from the wearer’s head in a crash.

Utility/Recreational Vehicles & Automotive Accessories

• Forest River is recalling 14 model year 2017 Dynamax DX3 and Force motorhomes. The front axle stabilizer bracket may not properly mount to the axle, and may break as a result. If the stabilizer bracket breaks, a sudden loss of vehicle control could occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
• Airstream recalls various travel trailers. The trailer may detach from the tow vehicle, posing a crash risk.
• Forest River recalls EVO, Salem and Wildwood travel trailers. The cooktops were installed with an improper liquid propane gas line.
• Keystone RV Company is recalling five model year 2020 Dutchmen Atlas 3382BH trailers. The trailers may have a non-metallic propane supply hose installed inside the burner box of the cooktop, instead of a copper supply hose.
• Jayco is recalling 908 model year 2017 Pinnacle Fifth Wheel trailers. The vehicle’s suspension may allow the tires to contact the structure when under a certain load, which can cause damage to the tires.
• Airstream recalls model year 2019-2020 Atlas motorhomes. Some of the 12V circuits may have insufficient overcurrent protection.

Food, Beverage & Nutritional Supplements

• Creative Food Processing Recalls Poultry Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens.
• Central Valley Meat Co., Inc. Recalls Ground Beef Product Due to Possible Salmonella Dublin Contamination.
• Simmons Prepared Foods is recalling 2 million pounds of its ready-to-cook chicken products, which include chicken legs, wings and whole chickens because they may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal.
• Padrino Foods recalls beef tamales. The products are labeled as beef and sirloin tamales but contain pork.
• Mill Stream Corp. recalls Cold Smoked Salmon. The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.
• Kettle Cuisine Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Fish and Wheat in Marketside Creamy Cauliflower Parmesan Soup 16oz.
• Taher Voluntarily Recalls Veggie & Ranch Cups With Cauliflower Because of Possible Health Risk.
• The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported Mann’s recalled the fresh vegetables because of potential Listeria contamination. Mann’s Packing is an ingredient supplier for Russ Davis Wholesale.
• Natural Grocers Issues Recall on Organic Soybeans Due to Mold.
• Creative Food Processing has recalled approximately 1,941 pounds of raw chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The product contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
• Nature’s Rx Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Silver Bullet 10 Male Enhancement Capsules due to an Undeclared PDE-5 Inhibitor Found in The Product.

Infant & Children Products

• Hooey Recalls Children’s Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Due to Strangulation Hazard. A drawstring in the sweatshirt hood poses a strangulation hazard to children. Drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground slides, hand rails, school bus doors or other moving objects, posing a significant strangulation hazard to children.

Pet Food & Animal Products

• Go Raw, LLC Recalls One Lot of Quest Beef Because of Possible Salmonella Health Risk.
• CHS Inc. Recalls Payback® Feeds Because of Excess Magnesium Health Risk.

Household Products

• Kenmore Microwave Ovens Recalled Due to Burn Hazard; Made by Guangdong Galanz; Sold Exclusively at Sears and Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores. Incorrect wiring causes the microwave’s exterior to reach temperatures exceeding 183 degrees Fahrenheit, posing a burn hazard to the user.

Miscellaneous

• Quest Products Recalls ALOCANE Emergency Burn Pads Due to Failure to Meet Child Resistant Closure Requirement; Risk of Poisoning. The packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The pads contain lidocaine, posing a risk of poisoning to young children if they were to place the pad in their mouth.
• Briggs & Stratton Recalls Snapper Rear Engine Riding Mowers Due to Injury Hazard. A faulty blade engagement lever can keep the lawnmower blade engaged after the release of the foot activated disengagement pedal, posing an injury hazard.

Firearms/Ammo/Accessories

• Mystery Ranch Recalls Holsters for Semi-Automatic Handguns Due to Injury Hazard. The retention strap can disconnect from the holster and allow the handgun to fall. If this this happens, the gun can unexpectedly discharge, posing a serious injury risk to consumers.
