Ramon F. Camara passed away peacefully at his home in Bristol, RI on November 12, 2019, at 88 years.

Born in Warren, RI, he was the beloved son of the late Hilda (Proulx) Camara and the late Frank Camara. Loving husband of the late Lillian (Silva) Camara. He is  survived by his loving stepchildren, step-grandchildren, several loving cousins, and his loving companion.

Ray had been active in Scouting for many years. He became an Eagle Scout and a Scout Master of Troop 1 in Warren. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the Army Airborne and became a corporal. He later joined the National Guard with the 118th Engineer Battalion for eight years.

After his military service, Ray joined the Ice Capades and skated professionally for many years and became a coach for the Lake Placid Figure Skating Club, and Vice President and judge for the Greater Fall River Skating Club. He was a eucharistic minister at Our Lady of la Salette and Vice President of the Parish Council at St. Jean Baptiste Church in Warren. He was also a member and former Chaplin of the Elks Lodge1860.

A private graveside service will be held in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery in Warren, RI on Thursday, Nov 21st at 12 noon. Services will conclude with military honors.
