Letter: Protect Little Compton, a rare place of quiet beauty

Posted

To the editor:

At a time when issues of land conservation and the right of residents to control commercial aggression in their residential communities are threatened across our country, we implore the members of the Little Compton Town Council to stand firm and keep corporate profit-making out of our town.

What benefit could a large, loud, entertainment center run by outsiders bring to Little Compton? The town is known across the state as a singular place of rural beauty and peace. Such places grow fewer with every passing year.
