PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Tuesday, Feb. 4

Gerald J. Pratt, 62, of 8 Child St., was charged with domestic cyberstalking against a 56-year-old Portsmouth woman with whom he has a domestic relationship according to police. A warrant was activated, and police arrested Mr, Pratt at his home at about 8:20 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 5

Robert J. Wicks, 51, of 37 Davey Lane, was arrested at his home around 5:35 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior). Police said the charge stemmed from an incident in January, in which Mr, Wicks allegedly made verbal threats toward a co-worker. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and police went to his home on Feb. 5. 

Thursday, Feb. 6

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested at Portsmouth High School and charged with possession of marijuana (1 ounce or less) and underage use of tobacco. Police responded to the school after receiving a report of a narcotics violation shortly before 9 a.m.

Friday. Feb. 7

Alan J. Whittaker, 29, of 4 South Drive, was charged with domestic assault and obstructing an officer while in execution of duty. According to police, a woman walked into the police station at about 11:30 p.m. to report she had been forcibly removed from a vehicle by Mr. Whittaker in the parking lot of St. Anthony’s Church. Police arrested him a short time later in the parking lot of North End Pizzeria.

Saturday, Feb. 8

Cortney D. Balhoff, 32, of 7 Taylor Court, Middletown, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after police responded to the area of West Main Road at Twin Lantern Cabins at about 2:20 a.m. to assist a motorist.

Arthur R. Powerades, 68, of 37 Sequoia Lane, was charged with passing counterfeit money after police responded to the Cumberland Farms on Sprague Street shortly before noon to investigate a report of suspicious activity.

Jason M. Monroe, 45, of 3 Stockton Drive, Middletown, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on East Main Road at Hillside Drive at about 7:30 p.m. Police also cited him for refusing a chemical test.

Sunday, Feb. 9

Charles W. Leonard, 57, of 91 Holliston Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being stopped for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Cedar Island shorty before 1 a.m. Police also cited him for refusing a chemical test.

Evan M. Barry, 22, of 2788 East Main Road, was charged with driving with an inactive license after he was stopped for a traffic violation on Freeborn Street at about 4 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 10

Megan E. Pember, 30, of no permanent address, was charged with larceny of over $1,500 after being picked up by Newport Police around 9:35 a.m. on a Portsmouth warrant. Ms. Pember allegedly stole a diamond ring from a Portsmouth resident, according to police.

Gary F. Merrill, Sr., 56, of 912 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, was charged with two counts of writing fraudulent checks (under $1,000) after Pawtucket Police picked him up on a Portsmouth warrant at about 12:30 p.m.

Angel L. Feliciano, 44, of 1273 Watkins St., Fall River, was arrested on a 6th District Court bench warrant after being pulled over for a traffic violation at the Boyds Lane park-and-ride around 4:30 p.m.
