Portsmouth Police deal with assault, DWI and fraud charges

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week.

Tuesday, June 11

Natalia Morales, 35, 221 Sprague St., was charged with domestic assault (first offense) after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at her home around 9:20 a.m.

John Manchester, 52, of 501 Sandy Point Ave., was charged with domestic assault after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at his home around 9:10 p.m.

William J. Killeavy, 62, of 6 Cross St., Bristol, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over on the Mt. Hope Bridge around 10:30 p.m. Police had received a request to check the condition of the vehicle’s operator.

Wednesday, June 12

Suzanne Fives, 49, of 254 County St., Rehoboth, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on East Main Road at Lepes Road shortly before 8 p.m.

Thursday, June 13

Michael P. Botelho, 64, of 372 Old River Road, Apt. 7, Manville, was arrested on a warrant after the vehicle in which he was riding was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Cedar Island around 7:45 a.m.

Police reported that a 17-year-old runaway had been found shortly before 7 p.m.

Sunday, June 16

Jerry J. Deoliveira, 42, of 218 Franklin St., Warren, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation at 15 Point Road restaurant in Island Park around 1:15 a.m. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, according to police. 

Santos Fernando Hernandez, 19, of 5 Pleasant St., Newport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (second offense) after police investigated a report of a suspicious auto on East Main Road around 10:30 p.m. The driver was also cited for refusing a chemical test and driving without a valid license, according to police.

Monday, June 17

Natalia Morales, 35, of 221 Sprague St., was arrested at about 3 p.m. on a warrant charging her with violating a no-contact order.

Tuesday, June 18

Sonia L. Souza, 46, of 57 Hanover St., Fall River, was charged with obtaining food/accommodations with the intent to defraud, after police responded to Portsmouth Public House at Clock Tower Square around 7:35 a.m.
