Portsmouth Majors 12s beat Barrington in walk-off

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Little League 12-year-old Majors All-Star team defeated Barrington, 3-2, in a thrilling come-from-behind victory at the Sherman/Rooney Complex Monday night.

Portsmouth, managed by Bob Yates, advances to play Saturday against an as-yet unknown opponent.

Barrington plays the winner of the loser's bracket game on Wednesday and could potentially face Portsmouth again in a rematch.

Players on the Portsmouth team are Jacob Bloom, Chris Bulk, Sam Essery, Connor Freitas, Henry Gibson, Trevor Gittus, Daniel Janssen, Tim McGuire, Justin Parsons, Will Pierce, Simon Roy, Dan Sullivan and Robbie Yates.
