PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School girls’ varsity basketball team is on a roll.
After dropping the first game of the season — a non-league contest against Rogers on Dec. 9 — the Patriots have won their last four games, all by double digits.
The latest victory came Tuesday night, when Portsmouth beat St. Raphael Academy, 50-34, in a Division I contest at home.
The Patriots beat Prout on Dec. 12, 42-20; Westerly on Dec. 14, 62-46; and Scituate on Dec. 16, 44-23.
The girls will play their next three games at home in the PHS field house — against La Salle Academy on Thursday, Dec. 22; South Kingstown on Monday, Jan. 2; and Ponaganset on Wednesday, Jan. 4. All three games begin at 7 p.m.
After that, they’ll hit the road against St. Mary Academy Bay View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6; and then Classical at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
