PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team was narrowly defeated by Cumberland Friday night at home, 7-6.
The loss dropped the Patriots’ record to 1-3 in Division I. The team started the season by beating Bishop Hendricken before dropping decisions to North Kingstown and Moses Brown.
Portsmouth will play Barrington High on the road at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, before hosting La Salle Academy at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 27.
