Police crack down on illegal dumping in Barrington

Residents in Rumstick area warned

Posted

On Sunday, June 9, police issued warnings to a number of Barrington residents who had been illegally dumping grass clippings.

Police officers spoke with some residents who live on Quincy Adams Road, Beach Road and Cold Spring Road and told them that they were not to dump their grass clippings in nearby wooded areas. Instead, residents can bag their grass clippings and place them curbside for pickup.

Members of the local land trust have worked to reduce the amount of illegal dumping taking place in Barrington.
