A Sowams Road resident called Barrington police on Monday, March 30 at about 9:20 p.m., after a man came to his front door claiming to be a pizza delivery driver.
The resident said he did not order any pizza and the man did not have a pizza with him when he knocked on the resident's door. The resident called police and told officers he believed the man — a male subject with dark skin — may have been scoping out his house.
Police contacted the pizza restaurant that the man said he worked for and employees there confirmed that a driver had been trying to deliver a pizza to a home in that part of town, but lost the address and had resorted to knocking on doors to find the right home.
