Pokanoket Tribe at the farm on Saturday

Members of the Pokanoket Tribe will be at the Coggeshall Farm Museum to celebrate the fall harvest. Tribe members will lead storytelling, drumming, and dancing. Hear about the Pokanoket Tribe’s connection to the land and its history.

WHAT: Fall harvest celebration

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Coggeshall Farm Museum, 1 Colt Drive (off Poppasquash Road), Bristol

COST: The farm is not charging admission that day, but registration is requested at https://coggeshallfarm.org. A cash donation for the tribe will be taken ($10 is suggested).

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
