Paulo Gabriel Toledo Verissimo, 51, of Warren, died unexpectedly Monday, August 12, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Zulmira (Borges) Verissimo; they were married for over 30 years.

Paulo was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, the son of the late Joao and Maria F. (Toledo) Verissimo.

He was the owner/operator of the Paul Verissimo and Son Building Company for over 30 years.

He had lived in Warren since June 1984, coming from Terceira, Azores. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Paulo liked playing pool, spending time at the Warren Portuguese American Club, driving his Corvette, riding his Can Am, playing golf and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Paul C. Verissimo of Warren, and daughter Katelyn Verissimo of Warren. He was the brother of Joao Verissimo, Luis Verissimo, Fernando Verissimo and Maria deLourdes Verissimo, all of Terceira, Azores, and Jose Verissimo of Warren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 4 to 7 pm in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren.
