Patricia A. (Turner) Lewis, of Warren, RI, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late George William Lewis Jr.

Born in Barrington, RI, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Julia (Petruska) Turner.

Patricia had worked as a social worker for the State of Rhode Island for 33 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Bristol and a former member of St. Mark’s Church in Warren, where she served on the Vestry. She enjoyed shopping, travel, cribbage, cooking and sports.

Patricia was a huge Tom Brady fan. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Patricia will be devastatingly missed by everyone.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Lewis and his wife Donna of Swansea, MA, and Eric Lewis and his wife Janet of Bristol, RI; four sisters, Evelyn Strickland of Warren, RI, Janet Castigliego of Bristol, RI, Roberta Louise of Cumberland, RI, and Holly Kestler of Portsmouth, RI; seven grandchildren, Scarlett, Amber, Jimmy, Carlton, Mabel, Kaylee and Tiffanie; and two great-grandchildren, Jameson and Shawn. She was also the sister of the late Lester Turner, Arthur Turner and Robert Turner.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 399 Hope St., Bristol, RI 02809.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
