Dressed as Spider Man, Joseph Scavo takes off from the starting line for the 7.5 mile paddle board race on Saturday, Nov. 14. Paddlers battled a powerful and chilly west northwest wind at Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures’ (OSKA) Nov. 14 Westport River Classic — veterans of the race called it the most challenging but best yet, said OSKA’s Sam Ladd. Some competitors paddled a 3-mile course down to Hix Bridge while others paddled a 7.5-mile course down and back.
