Holy Angels Church is gearing up for some great summertime eating and a chance to win some great prizes.

The “On-the-Go Summer Special” is a new summertime attraction, which according to those in charge, will be featuring “dinners and winners.” The event will be held on Thursday, July 11, and all are welcome.

Pre-order your choice of some delicious, carry-out menu options and pick-up your order in the Holy Angels Church Hall between 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on July 11.

Included will be baby back barbecue ribs: a half rack of oven-baked, tender and flavorful pork ribs basted in barbecue sauce, served with seasoned roasted potatoes, sweet corn kernels, and corn bread: $15.

Then, there’s chicken parmesan and pasta, a breaded and baked boneless chicken breast topped with homestyle marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, served with baked ziti and dinner roll: $12.

Orders are welcome beginning this Thursday, June 20. A limited number of orders will be available — ordering early is advised and encouraged. Sales will end on Tuesday, July 9, or when supplies are sold out.

For more information, or to order and arrange for a pick-up time, please speak with a parishioner volunteer by calling 249-1104 or 465-8439.

Fabulous prizes will be raffled beginning at 6:15 p.m., which includes two roundtrip tickets for the Block Island Ferry, Tony’s Seafood gift card, Schroder’s Deli and Catering gift basket and gift card, Four general admission tickets for a 2019 PawSox game at McCoy Stadium, Portside Tavern gift card, and Uncle Tony's Pizza and Pasta Restaurant (East Providence) gift card.

Also, admission for two at a performance of Disney's "Newsies" at Theatre ByThe Sea, Blue Kangaroo Cafe gift card, and much more.

The committee wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the donors for their generous support.
