An elderly Barrington resident who was reported missing last week was found a few hours later.

A Bay Spring Avenue resident called police at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, to report that his 80-year-old wife had gone out for a walk two hours earlier and had not returned.

Police said the resident also told them that he went out looking for his wife, but ended up getting lost. Fortunately, he later made his way home and called police.

Barrington Police conducted a search for the missing woman and located her at the Walgreen’s store on Willet Avenue. Police said the woman was fine.
