Newport hosts Oyster and Chowder Festival all weekend
Newport and Bowen's Wharf host the 2024 Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival this weekend, featuring some of the best oysters and chowder from the Ocean State. It takes place both Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Growers will be shucking alongside a select group of local restaurants and live music under festival tents all weekend. Admission is free.
