Nancy Ward Urban, 70, Rehoboth, Westport

Nancy Ward Urban, 70, of Rehoboth, Mass., died peacefully on Friday October 11, 2019, at her beloved antique home in Rehoboth surrounded by her two sons and husband.  She endured a ten-year struggle with Dementia.  

She was the wife and soulmate of Martin P. Urban, the owner of AutoPlus Motorcars of Westport, Mass.  

Her funeral Mass and burial will be private.  As Nancy's final gift, her brain has been donated to Mass General Hospital Dementia Research.  Donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to Mass General Hospital, Dr. Dickerson Lab, Dementia Research, 149 13th St., Suite 2691, Charlestown, MA 02129. (Please memo: Nancy W. Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
