Do you love to talk about music as much as we do? Come join us as we watch a music documentary and discuss it at the Seekonk Library on Tuesday, April 23 at 5:30 pm. This month’s documentary is about the great Bebop Jazz Pianist: Thelonious Monk.
This film covers a broad spectrum of Monk’s career, starting with his early beginnings in Harlem to his eventual innovations with Bebop and Modern Jazz. By blending interview and performance clips it creates an intimate portrait of his life and music.
Our discussion group meets on the second to last Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM and tackles music across all genres. We will air the documentary at the library before discussing so there is no need to pre-view the film. Join us in the coming months as we continue to watch and discuss other music documentaries. Come to learn, listen, and/or share!
