Posted

Treat your mother on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 and join Imago Foundation for the Arts as it welcomes Atwater-Donnelly Trio as part of its Music at Imago series at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street, in Warren, RI. Doors open at 3:30pm. Concert begins at 4 p.m.

The Atwater-Donnelly Trio provide a unique blend of traditional American and Celtic folk music and dance, along with original songs and poetry. The highly praised husband-wife duo blends gorgeous vocals with a startling array of instruments including the mountain dulcimer, old-time banjo, tin whistle, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, limberjacks, feet and more. A truly exciting development in the Atwater-Donnelly history started in 2003 with the addition of Cathy Clasper-Torch, a remarkable fiddler, cellist and vocalist who, in a word, blends.
Admission is $20. Tickets will be available at the door or may be purchased in advance on EventBrite at: https://2025-atwater-donnellyatimago.eventbrite.com or reserved by emailing MusicAtImago@gmail.com or calling 401-392-1322.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
