Muriel Powell “Peggy” Vetter passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 in Denver, Colo. She was 91.  A resident of Barrington for more than 50 years, Peggy moved to Denver in 2016 upon the passing of her husband of 61 years, George M. Vetter, Jr.

Peggy was born in New York City and grew up in Westport, Conn. She attended Mary Washington College before moving to New York where she met George. They moved to Barrington in 1963 to raise their family.  Peggy was active in the community, volunteering at St. John’s Church and working in development at St. Andrew’s School. She is survived by her three children, Chip, Searl and Keith, and nine grandchildren.
