Mt. Hope High School graduate Nathan Silveira recently added a new honor to his list of accomplishments. Salutatorian for the Class of 2020, Silveira was named to the United Soccer Coaches, High School Scholar All-America Team.
A four-year varsity soccer player who graduated with a 4.69 GPA, he was the only Rhode Islander named to the team. The last time a Husky from the boys program received this honor was 18 years ago. Nathan has been invited to attend the annual United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony in January, honoring all of the All-Americans and Scholar All-Americans for youth, high school and college soccer in 2020.
The event will take place in conjunction with the annual United Soccer Coaches Convention in Anaheim, California. Nathan is staying close to home this fall, as he enrolled at Roger Williams University.
