EAST PROVIDENCE — Donald McCaughey has been elected as the new board chair of The Wolf School in East Providence, it was announces during the May Board of Trustees meeting.
McCaughey, who has a child enrolled in the school, succeeds Tamara McKenney, who stepped down following her impactful seven-year tenure in this critical leadership role.
“I am so honored to welcome Don as our new board chair,” Wolf’s Head of School, Anna Johnson said. “As we enter our 25th year of Wolf, this is an exciting time for us as we celebrate our progress and look forward to the future of Wolf.
"As a current parent, Don has a deep understanding of the critical work we do each day. Paired with his experience as a Board Chair in a private school setting for the past 8 years, and his extensive business expertise - I can’t think of anyone better to step into this role and help lead Wolf into the future.”
A graduate of Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School, McCaughey has an extensive background as a financial services executive with a proven ability in structuring organizations for maximum effectiveness in a competitive landscape.
Currently, McCaughey is the Director of Business Development for Gaston Capital Partners and the Managing Partner of Mercer Asset Management, which he co-founded in 2021. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps., McCaughey resides in East Greenwich with his wife Kristin and their two children, Francesca and Hugh.
