Mary Isabel Ferreira, 96, of Bristol

Mary Isabel (Botelho) Ferreira, 96, passed away on Aug. 15, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Manor. She was the wife of the late Joseph Ferreira.   

Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Luis and Maria doCarmo (Benevides) Botelho. She is survived by her children, Michael Ferreira and his wife Patricia, Thomas Ferreira, Mary Ann Federico and her husband Richard, Paula Ferreira and her husband David Livingston, and Christopher Ferreira and his wife Karen. She was the mother of the late Joseph Ferreira and is survived by his wife Peggy.

She was the grandmother of Michael Ferreira, Jason Ferreira, Justin Ferreira, Caitlyn Federico, Jillian Federico, Maia Livingston, Louis Ferreira and Christopher Ferreira, and great-grandmother of Benjamin Ferreira, Olivia Ferreira and Braxton Ferreira. She was the sister of Madeline Grimo and the late Otilia Teixeira, Gildo Botelho, Joseph Botelho, Feliciano Botelho, John Botelho and Rose Raposa.

Mrs. Ferreira was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1942, and employed as an administrative assistant at the Bristol YMCA before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Mask use is required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
