Maria Julieta Cabral, 87, of Bristol

Maria Julieta Cabral, 87, of Mt. Hope Avenue passed away on Sept. 1, 2020, at Heatherwood Rehab & Healthcare.

Born in Aqua do Pau, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Reis Cabral and Maria dosAnjos (Carreira) Cabral. She is survived by her sister, Maria Carmo Cabral of Bristol, and her brother, Jose C. Cabral and his wife Joana of Bristol. She was the aunt of Debbie Rielly of Tiverton and Kevin Cabral of Bristol and the great-aunt of Mikaela Rielly and Nicholas Rielly.

Maria was educated in Portugal and employed by Robin Rug before retiring.

Her funeral services were held Sept. 8 from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Marinaldo Batista at St. Elizabeth’s Church. Liturgical readings were by Kevin Cabral and Debbie Rielly, who also read the Prayer of the Faithful.

Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Matthew Rielly, Nicholas Rielly, Kevin Cabral, Frank Viera and Armando Sousa.
